Pet Doctors of America is proud to introduce Dr. Rachel Day-Davis to our team.  Dr. Day-Davis earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2001 and joined Midway Animal Hospital in Homosassa, Florida shortly thereafter.  Dr. Day-Davis became an owner of Midway Animal Hospital in 2009.  In 2010, she expanded her expertise in complementary/alternative medicine by studying small animal acupuncture at the Chi Institute.

Joining the Pet Doctors of America family this month, Dr. Day-Davis brings with her experience, leadership qualities and professionalism.  Working in a  busy 4-5 veterinarian full service small animal hospital, she has developed the ability to multitask and delegate effectively, work quickly and efficiently without compromising quality of patient care or client services.

Dr. Day-Davis has extensive experience in wellness/preventative medicine, internal medicine, general surgery, including perineal urethrostomy, dentistry including radiographic interpretation and complicated extractions, abdominal ultrasound, CO2 laser surgery, endoscopy, and acupuncture.  As a clinician in a multi-doctor practice, she had the opportunity to interact and communicate successfully with individuals of diverse demographic backgrounds, personalities, and communication styles.

When Dr. Day-Davis is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff, and their two sons Zachary and Nathan, and dog Wilson.  She also enjoys boating and water sports, thus a perfect fit for Jacksonville.
