Dr. Kris Kane is our Medical Director and has been with Pet Doctors of America for 9 years. Dr. Kane is a graduate of The University of Georgia and has been practicing Veterinary Medicine for over 15 years.

Dr. Avery Silvers has been with Pet Doctors of America for 2 years. Dr. Silvers is a 2007 graduate of Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated with honors having been inducted as a member to the national "Phi Zeta" academic honors society. Following veterinary school, she continued with postgraduate education at the University of Florida in general veterinary ophthalmology. In 2009, Dr. Silvers joined the team of veterinarians at Pet Doctors of America. Dr. Silvers recently completed specialty training in veterinary acupuncture at the well-known Chi Institute which now allows her to also offer alternative therapies such as acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, aquapuncture, moxabustion, and herbal therapy, in addition to more traditional veterinary medicine, for the maximal benefit of her patients. Outside of work, Dr. Silvers enjoys spending time, indoors and outdoors, with her husband, new baby boy "Levi", and her four-legged children, Dixie (dog), Buddy (dog), Marshall (cat), Frodo (cat), and Flic Flac (horse).


Dr. Todd Grand

Dr. Melissa Kurz Johnson has been with Pet Doctors of America since March 2011. When she was younger, she got to watch her Aunt and Uncle who are both Veterinarians perform surgery and has been hooked ever since. She graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Zoology and then went on to graduate from the University of Georgia Veterinary School.
Dr. Kurz Johnson has been married for 3 years and she and her husband, Thomas, have a 5 year old Golden Retriever named Hank. She is originally from Jacksonville and is very happy to be back in her hometown doing what she loves! 
Dr. Rachel Day-Davis has been with Pet Doctors of America since August 2011. Dr. Day-Davis earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Univeristy of Florida in 2001 and joined Midway Animal Hospital in Homosassa, Florida shortly thereafter. Dr. Day-Davis became an owner of Midway Animal Hospital in 2009. In 2010, she expanded her expertise in complementary/alternative medicine by studying small animal acupuncture at the Chi Institute.
When Dr. Day-Davis is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, and their two sons, Zachary and Nathan, and dogs Wilson and Fergus. She also enjoys boating and water sports, thus a perfect fit for Jacksonville.

Our Managers Melinda Becker
Melinda has been with Pet Doctors of America for over 6 years. She was first drawn to this profession because of her love for people and their pets. Outside of work, Melinda enjoys running, shopping, cooking, painting and spending time with friends and family. Melinda and her husband have two Boston Terriers at home, Hanna and Haylee. 

Adam Grecco Adam has been with Pet Doctors of America for 4 years as a Clinic Manager. Adam manages our Jacksonville Beach location. He enjoys golfing and keeping up with his favorite sports teams.

Val P.
Val has been with Pet Doctors of America since the fall of 2009. Val is using her time here at Pet Doctors to gain experience in the Veterinary field, as she is a Biology major looking to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine. Val has served 4 years in the Marine Corps as a legal and administration clerk and is a proud owner of 2 dogs and 2 cats.

Kat C.
Kat has been with Pet Doctors of America since August 2010 as our Administrative Assistant, and more recently helping out as a receptionist when needed. She absolutely loves coming to work each and every day, as each day is never the same. Outside of work she enjoys the outdoors, bike riding and keeping up with her favorite sports teams. She is the god-mother of a 4 year old half pug half chihuahua mix named Chuggz.

Hildy D.
Hildy has been with Pet Doctors of America since April 2011. Some of her favorite things outside of work include cooking and trying new recipes, watching college football while cheering on the Gators, and she is currently planning her wedding for November 2012. Hildy recently graduated from UNF and did her college internship with Animal Care and Protective Services in downtown Jacksonville, and after it was over, she knew she wanted to pursue a profession in animal care. Hildy has two cats at home, Luke who is a Tabby and Kulu who is a Tortoiseshell. Her cats are her pride and joy, they even have their own Facebook pages!

Chris has been with Pet Doctors or America since April 2009 as a Veterinary Technician. Chris has always had a passion for animals and has wanted to work with them ever since he was young kid. He is currently working towards his associate's degree in a Veterinary Technology program. When Chris isn't working, he enjoys outdoor activities such as surfing and hiking. He also enjoys playing Frisbee with his 4 year old Border Collie named Vader.

Andrew has been with Pet Doctors of America since April 2007 as a Veterinary Technician. Andrew was drawn to Pet Doctors because he has been volunteering and has been employed by various Veterinary clinics and Kennel Facilities since he was 14 years old. Andrew has been happily married for 6 years. He and his wife have 2 Boston Terriers at home.

Tyson has been with Pet Doctors of America since November 2010 as a Pet Care Attendant. Tyson has always loved animals and genuinely loves coming to work each and every day. Tyson enjoys spending time with his new family, as he and his girlfriend just welcomed a baby boy. He also enjoys outdoor activities such as surfing and golfing.
